Enrique Chavarria:
Journey Into The Subconcious
Mexican surrealist Enrique Chavarria’s works return to the Brogan Museum, which has become the exclusive agent for Chavarria’s art. The collection, which is on long-term loan to the museum, first debuted in 2002 and has been shown throughout Florida, with plans to travel the exhibit to New York City, Houston, Los Angeles and Mexico City. Chavarria’s striking work reflects a deep knowledge of myth, fantasy, and natural history, often infused with a concern for the human condition. The artist felt that his work might lead to “awareness of a world that is destroying itself, and find oneself with a miracle, to discover hope.”
