Recognized as the most authentic touring flamenco company in the world today, Noche Flamenca is hailed by critics around the globe for its exciting, transcendent and deeply emotional performances. Founded by Artistic Director Martin Santangelo and his wife/lead-dancer Soledad Barrio in Madrid in 1993, Noche Flamenca gives equal weight to all aspects of flamenco – dance, song and music, all of it played live – creating a true communal spirit.

But even within a sublime group effort, Soledad Barrio stands out. Extremely expressive and deeply intense, she has earned a reputation as one of the great performers of our time. The New York Times said simply: “I can think of no current ballet dancer in the world as marvelous as she.”
